Hello! Anyone home?

Look at all the cobwebs. It must have been a while since anyone has been around. I wonder if the people that lived here abandoned it, or maybe they went bankrupt like so many others.

I wonder, would it be worth rehabilitating?

Why not! This is the first day of my two week holiday break. I haven’t anything better to do in this cold, dismal Midwest weather. Well, here goes…. Under Construction!

Where Am I?

This is a tough one!

Hint Number One: Not only am I in Kansas City I am in a Crown "jewel" of KC.
Hint Number Two: "Don't Tread On Me"

Any guesses?

Back To Work

It is hard to believe. I was away from Kansas City on spring break for only a week. During that time it went from looking like spring would never get here to buds bursting, redbud blooming, green grass and spring thunderstorms. Even though it rained hard this morning I had to cut the grass this afternoon when I got home from school. It smelled so good.

I Love Spring Break

Spring Break is one of those academic inventions that is such a great idea the whole work world should adopt it. Along with long summer vacations.

This week I have been on spring break from the university and I have been enjoying it immensely. I am making a circuit around Arizona. Today I'm taking in a LA Angels game here in Tempe.

Spring in Kansas City

It has been a long winter. The snow began on Christmas Eve. Followed by gray days with just enough snow to keep the ground white.

Spring has been slow to come without the warmth of sunny days and warming nights. Finally, last week the cloud cover broke. The sun shined. Red-breasted robins returned. The maples buds began to swell and redden.

And on the first day of Spring it snowed. All day. A wet, heavy snow that once again turned the world white.

This early morning as I look out the window at a cold wet white world I think. “Surely spring can not be far behind”.

Latest best meal: Classic Cup on the Plaza. Urdon duck over noodles.
Latest best entertainment: KCrep, “Bus Stop”.
