Spring in Kansas City

It has been a long winter. The snow began on Christmas Eve. Followed by gray days with just enough snow to keep the ground white.

Spring has been slow to come without the warmth of sunny days and warming nights. Finally, last week the cloud cover broke. The sun shined. Red-breasted robins returned. The maples buds began to swell and redden.

And on the first day of Spring it snowed. All day. A wet, heavy snow that once again turned the world white.

This early morning as I look out the window at a cold wet white world I think. “Surely spring can not be far behind”.

Latest best meal: Classic Cup on the Plaza. Urdon duck over noodles.
Latest best entertainment: KCrep, “Bus Stop”.
